Praise and thanks to Allah, Who revealed theHoly Qur’an to His Messenger, Muhammad, sallallahu ^alayhi wasallam.We present to you the 30th Juz’ of the Holy Qur’an in Arabic.Weemphasize that the proper pronunciation of the letters and versescannot be ascertained except by learning from a qualified,trustworthy teacher.It is sinful to commit mistakes while reciting the verses of theQur’an on one’s own, but not under the supervision of the qualifiedteacher. The traditional method of learning the recitation is forthe teacher to recite a part and for the student to repeat it afterhim/her. The teacher corrects the mistakes and approves the correctrecitation.May Allah grant us the sincere intention and bless our effortsto learn the Holy Book of Allah.

The Throne Verse (Arabic: آية الكرسي ‎ʾāyatu-l-kursī), or Ayatul Kursi, is 255th verse (ayah) of thesecond chapter (sura) Al-Baqara. It is the most famous verse of theQur'an and is widely memorized and displayed in the Islamic worlddue to its emphatic description of God's power over the entireuniverse.Imam Ahmad recorded that Ubayy bin Ka`b said that;The Prophet asked him about the greatest Ayah in the Book ofAllah, and Ubayy answered, "Allah and His Messenger know better.When the Prophet repeated his question several times, Ubayy said,"Ayat Al-Kursi. The Prophet commented, Congratulations for havingknowledge, O Abu Al-Mundhir! By He in Whose Hand is my soul! ThisAyah has a tongue and two lips with which it praises Allah next tothe Throne. [Imam Ahmad , Muslim] This Hadith was also collected byMuslim, but he did not include the part that starts with, "By He inWhose Hand".Muhammad said:“Whoever recites Ayat ul-Kursi immediately after each prescribedPrayer, there will be nothing standing between him and his enteringParadise except death.” [Narrated by an-Nasaaee. Al-Mulk (Arabic: سورة الملك‎, "Sovereignty,Kingdom") is the 67th chapter (sura) of the Quran, comprising 30verses.The sura emphasizes that no individual can impose his willon another; he may only guide and set an example (67:26).HadithThe first and foremost exegesis/tafsir of the Qur'an is found inhadith of Muhammad and while hadith is literally "speech"; recordedsaying or tradition of Muhammad validated by isnad; with sira thesecomprise the sunnah and reveal shariah and tafsir. Althoughscholars including ibn Taymiyyah claim that Muhammad has commentedon the whole of the Qur'an, others including Ghazali cite thelimited amount of narratives, thus indicating that he has commentedonly on a portion of the Qur'an. In either the case, higher countof hadith elevates the importance of the pertinent surah from acertain perspective. This surah holds special place in the sayingsas well as practices of Muhammad, which can be observed by theserelated ahadith.Imam Ahmad recorded from Abu Hurayrah that Muhammadsaid,"Verily, there is a chapter in the Qur’an which containsthirty Ayat that will intercede on behalf of its reciter until heis forgiven. (It is): ‘Blessed be He in Whose Hand is the dominion.(Surat Al-Mulk 67)’"Muhammad said, ‘There is a surah in the Qur’an which is onlythirty verses. It defends whoever recites it until it puts him intoJannah’Anas ibn Malik reported Muhammad as saying, “There is a Surahwhich will plead for its reciter till it causes him to enterparadise.”Muhammad said, ‘Surah al Mulk is the protector from the tormentof the grave’Jabir said it was the custom of not to go to sleep until he hadread Tabarakalladhi Biyadihil Mulk(Al-Mulk) and Alif Laam MeemTanzeel (As-Sajda).He used to recite Surah As-Sajdah and Surah Al-Mulk (in Arabic)before sleeping.Abdullah Ibn ‘Abbas reported that Muhammad said, ‘It is mydesire/love that Surahtul Mulk should be in the heart of everyMuslim’Ibn Abbas said that one of Muhammad’s companions set up his tentover a grave without realising that it was a grave and it containeda man who was reciting the Surah Tabarakalladhi Biyadihil Mulk upto the end. He went and told Muhammad who said, ‘It is TheDefender; it is The Protector which safeguards from Allah Ta’ala’sPunishment’Khalid bin Madam said about surat Al Mulk and As-Sajda thatthese two surahs will fight for their reciter in the grave and willsay, ‘O Allah! If we belong to Your book, accept our intercessionin his favour. In case we do not, get us obliterated. These surahswill spread their wings like birds and will save the person fromthe torment of the grave.’It was narrated that Abd Allah ibn Mas'ud said: Whoever readsTabarakalladhi Biyadihil Mulk every night, Allah will protect himfrom the torment of the grave. At the time of the Messenger ofAllah, we used to call it al-mani’ah (that which protects). In theBook of Allah it is a surah which, whoever recites it every nighthas done very well.Abdullaah ibn Mas’ood is reported to have said, 'A man will beapproached in his grave from his legs and from his chest and thenfrom his head. And each time this Surah will defend him by saying,'You cannot do anything to him, he used to recite Surah Mulk'.'Abdullaah ibn Mas’ood further states, 'It is called,'Al-maani'ah'. For it protects from the punishment of thegrave.'
