Do you have an Android device that you wouldlike to put to use? You can now set up and run your own mobileADS-B ground station that can be used anywhere and receivereal-time data directly from airplanes on your Android device.It receives ADS-B data directly from airplane transponders via asmall antenna connected to your Android device. This app then makesthe real-time data available to view on your Android's screen, oroptionally to any user on your local network if they point theirweb browser to your Android device's IP address.Your mobile ADS-B station can run this Android app to trackflights within 50-300 miles (line of sight, range depending onantenna).This app was formerly known as the FlightAware FlightFeeder forAndroid, however has been renamed to simply ADS-B Flight Scannerand released as Open Source.
