Description

ROOT REQUIRED - WILL NOT WORK IF NOT ROOTED

BukerPXE is a lightweight TFTP, FTP, HTTP, and proxyDHCP serversuitable for hosting PXE payloads from your Android powered deviceover your local LAN using its built in WiFi adapter.

Originally devised as a portable diagnostic toolkit capable ofbooting a non-functional workstation into various diagnosticenvironments, BukerPXE runs on your Android phone to listen fornetwork boot requests from machines configured with PXE networkboot capability. (the vast majority of computers have thisavailable in their BIOS
options).

The client computer then boots to display a simple menuconsisting of various PXE payload options which can includediagnostic utilities, bootloaders, installers etc.

BukerPXE works with your existing LAN infrastructure, the mainrequirement being that the client computer and the Android Wifidevice be on the same LAN subnet. The client computer typicallyplugs into the network via Ethernet cable, and your Android deviceconnects via WiFi. Using its built in proxyDHCP service, BukerPXEis designed to work alongside the existing router or other DHCPserver without modification. This makes it easy to deploy and doesnot interfere with normal network traffic.

The Lite version uses the TFTP protocal only to transport thepayload to the target machine. Payloads can easily be added orremoved using conventional syslinux based text menus. The defaultLite version comes with MemTest86 for RAM testing, NTPSSWD apassword reset utility for editing/removing Windows user passwordson target Windows PC's, MHDD a hard drive testing and reportingutility, and HDT a hardware detection tool that enumerates thehardware installed on the target machine. These are included assimple examples of PXE network booting,
demonstrates compatibility with your device and existing networks, and provides some usability straight out of the box even if youdecide to not define your own payloads or move up to the fullversion of BukerPXE.

The full version of BukerPXE allows many more larger andpractical payloads as it leverages the iPXE protocol with the speedof FTP and HTTP transfers.
