The bandsdo notrestrict movements and are hands free for performinggymnasticstumbling skills and flexibility moves.Acrobat and tumbling skills in gymnastics require shoulder andarmflexibility. If a gymnast’s shoulders are not flexible enoughtorotate and roll it will be impossible to tumble withanyexplosiveness or proper technique to score high. Gymnasts mustalsoremember that flexibility on both sides of the body must betrainedto become equally flexible to perform gymnastic eventroutinesexplosively.
