「生活首都‧臺中視界網APP」是由台中市政府所發行，內容是取自「生活首都‧臺中視界網」（http://vod.taichung.gov.tw/）影音平台單元之資料。「生活首都‧臺中視界網」自100年建置完成迄今，係本府為便捷傳達「藝術表演、文化節慶、展覽活動、地方特色、休閒觀光、生活安全、大眾交通、市政宣導、城市發展、環境保育、影視推廣」等主題內容，所創建之網路影音發布與管理平台。目前所發佈之影音不僅提供市民更豐富、更實用的資訊與服務，亦提升市府既有影音內容的使用率，令「生活首都‧臺中視界網」成為台中市主要的多媒體宣傳與影音應用的管道。
