La Santa Biblia. Apócrifo

El término apócrifo (griego: απόκρυφος 'oculto, secreto'; latín:apócryphus) ha sido utilizado a través de los tiempos para hacerreferencia a algunas colecciones de textos y de escritos religiosossagrados surgidos y emanados en contextos judíos o cristianos, queno han sido incluidos en el canon del Tanaj judío hebreo-arameo, dela Biblia israelita Septuaginta griega, así como tampoco de ningunade las distintas Biblias usadas por distintos grupos decristianos.

Existen controversias tradicionales entre los diferentes gruposconfesionales en el seno de la tradición judeocristiana; dado quecada uno entre los principales grupos (cristianos ortodoxos,cristianos orientales —coptos, eutiquianos, siríacos nestorianos,etc.—, católicos romanos, protestantes y otras tendencias) havenido planteando a través de los siglos algunas importantesdiferencias con respecto del canon de los grupos restantes, y haido reservando el término de «apócrifos» para distintos grupos detextos y de escritos no incluidos en su propia versión del Canonbíblico, aunque estén en la de otro u otros.

Doce de estos libros: Tobit, Judit, el Resto de Ester, Baruc, laEpístola de Jeremías, la Historia de Susana, la Historia de Bel yel Dragón, el pasaje Daniel 3:24-90 (en el cual se contiene laOración de Azarías y el Himno de los tres Jóvenes), Sabiduría,Eclesiástico, 1 Macabeos y 2 Macabeos, finalmente serían aceptadospor los distintos grupos históricos cristianos (cristianosortodoxos, cristianos orientales —cópticos eutiquianos, siríacosnestorianos, etc.— y católicos romanos).

The term apocrypha (Greek: απόκρυφος 'hidden secret', Latin:apócryphus) has been used through the ages to refer to somecollections of texts and sacred religious writings encountered andissued in Jewish contexts or Christians who do not have beenincluded in the canon of the Hebrew-Aramaic Jewish Tanakh, theGreek Septuagint Bible Israelite, nor any of the various Biblesused by different groups of Christians.

There are traditional disputes among different religious groupswithin the Judeo-Christian tradition; since each between majorgroups (Orthodox Christians, Oriental-Christian Copts Eutychians,Nestorian Syriac, etc -., Roman Catholics, Protestants and othertrends) has been raised through the centuries some importantdifferences from canon the other groups, and has been reserving theterm 'apocryphal' for different groups of texts and writings notincluded in its own version of the Biblical Canon, notwithstandingthat the other or others.

Twelve of these books: Tobit, Judith, the Rest of Esther,Baruch, Epistle of Jeremiah, the History of Susanna, the History ofBel and the Dragon, the passage Daniel 3:24-90 (in which iscontained Prayer Azariah and the Hymn of the three Young), Wisdom,Ecclesiasticus, 1 Maccabees and 2 Maccabees, would finally beaccepted by various Christian historical groups (OrthodoxChristians, Eastern Christians, Coptic Eutychians, NestorianSyriac, etc -., and Roman Catholic) .
