Checkers board game, also known as draughts, is a fun andeasygame. To win a game of checkers, you have to move yourpiecestowards your opponent's side of the board. You can movefaster byjumping your opponent's pieces and removing them from theboard.The concept of checkers is simple, but you can use strategiestoimprove your chances of winning.

Draughts (or checkers) is played by two opponents, onoppositesides of the game board. One player has the dark pieces;the otherhas the light pieces. Players alternate turns. A playermay notmove an opponent's piece. A move consists of moving apiecediagonally to an adjacent unoccupied square. If the adjacentsquarecontains an opponent's piece, and the square immediatelybeyond itis vacant, the piece may be captured (and removed from thegame) byjumping over it. Capturingismandatory in most official rules, although some rulevariationsmake capturing optional when presented. In almost allvariants, theplayer without pieces remaining, or who cannot movedue to beingblocked, loses the free game.
