Description

Pachinko is a Japanese gaming device usedforamusement and gambling. A pachinko machine resembles averticalpinball machine, but with no flippers and a large numberofrelatively small balls. The player fires a ball up intothemachine, controlling only its initial speed. The ball thencascadesdown through a dense forest of pins. In most cases, theball fallsto the bottom and is lost, but if it instead goes intocertainpockets, more balls are released as a jackpot. Pachinkomachineswere originally strictly mechanical, but modern oneshaveincorporated extensive electronics, becoming similar to videoslotmachines.
