Steps with Old English "thee" and "thou" etc have been updatedtomodern English.
Words and phrases that might be misunderstood due to changesinmeaning over the last 20 years have been updated tocurrentEnglish.
Verses with difficult word order or vocabulary havebeenretranslated into English as smooth.
Sentences beginning with "and" often I have been back-translatedtoEnglish better, in recognition of differences in style betweentheancient and modern languages English. The original Greek andHebrewhad no punctuation as is found in English and in many casesmodernEnglish punctuation serves as a substitute for "and" intheoriginal. In some other cases, "and" is translated by adifferentword such as "then" or "but" as required by the context,when theword in the original language allows such atranslation.
More accurate than ever before:
Recent research on the oldest and best manuscripts of the GreekNewTestament was revised, and some steps have been updated forevengreater fidelity to the original manuscripts.
Parallel passages were compared and reviewed.
Verbs that have a wide range of meanings have been retranslatedinsome steps to better account for their use in the context.
