Dynamic flexibility stretching is when a gymnast utilizes swingingmovements of the arms and legs to increase flexibility and improvetheir range of motion. Examples of dynamic flexibility stretchingare split kicks, leading splits, and scales. When a gymnast puts onthe Myosource Lower Body Kinetic Bands, they allow dynamicflexibility moves and skills to be performed by adding resistanceto build strength while increasing flexibility. The bands do notrestrict movements and are hands free for performing gymnasticstumbling skills and flexibility moves.

Acrobat and tumbling skills in gymnastics require shoulder and armflexibility. If a gymnast’s shoulders are not flexible enough torotate and roll it will be impossible to tumble with anyexplosiveness or proper technique to score high.
