Monotag is an experimental application whichwas developed by Yahoo! JAPAN Research using our image recognitiontechnology. Please note that monotag service might stop withoutpreliminary notification because it is just an experimentalapplication.

If you take a picture of what you want to know using monotag,monotag tells you what it is. Currently monotag can recognizebooks, CDs, DVDs and food/beverage packages. Please note that theseproducts are Japanese. Even if monotag cannot recognize the object,you can register the object to monotag. Then, monotag can recognizethe object. Since the object which you registered are shared amongmonotag users, if everyone registers a few objects, monotag will beable to recognize most objects around you. Moreover monotag cantrack the object with a decoration image, when you turn on thedecoration mode. Please enjoy it!
