They are the warnings that human lives cannot be sustained ontheEarth without efforts for solutions responding toenvironmentalissues.
At the same time, they are the strong message that we must findwaysfor sustainable use of environmental resources.

The World Local Government Summit Forum having been held inJejuduring the IUCN World Conservation Congress Jeju 2012,emphasizedthat the roles and actions of the world’s localgovernments havebecome more important than any other times, to comeup with thesolutions responding to environmental issues and forconservationof the environment. Accordingly, the world’s localgovernmentsstrongly supported the establishment Cyber EnvironmentNetwork ofWorld Local Governments.

The Cyber Environment Network of World LocalGovernments(ENCYNET) shall operate as a future-oriented governancesystem forexchange of information and technologies on theenvironment. TheENCYNET shall also operate as an environmentalknowledge portalproviding the functions for the world world localgovernments, toendeavor collaborative efforts for the solutions toglobalenvironmental issues; to cooperate for sustainabledevelopment; toexchange environmental policies; and to act as anadvisorybody.
