‘Esya’ is a Sanskrit term meaning‘exploration’and stands testimony to our vision of exploring theunexplored andmaking the world a better place to live in.

Esya ’13 is the third version of IIIT-Delhi’s tech fest. On3rdand 4th September 2011, the first techfest of IIIT-Delhi washeldwith remarkable enthusiasm and overwhelming participation.Withabout a dozen events attended by participants numbering aroundtwogrand, the technical festival has strung the right chord amongtheCS/IT students & enthusiasts of Delhi.

Our vision for Esya ’13 is to bring together talentedandmotivated students from across India and provide them withaplatform where they can explore and perform thingsdifferently.

Esya goes beyond being a simple Science andTechnologycompetition. Unlike Aristotle’s principle of Epistemewhere yourscientific knowledge needs to be governed by a firstprinciple, weencourage participants to make their own firstprinciples based onwhat they believe to be correct.

We aim to nurture the ideas that come forth in the spiritofhealthy competition. To accomplish the same, we intend tocreateopportunities such as collaboration among students andindustryguidance to materialize such ideas.
