The scientific programme of the HospitalAuthority Convention 2016 will focus on the HA’s core values, viz.“People-centred Care”, “Professional Service”, “Committed Staff”and “Teamwork”. The Convention aims to promote the sharing ofknowledge and experience on clinical advances and approaches tomodern healthcare service, and facilitates exploration anddiscussion of contemporary concepts among healthcare professionalsand stakeholders.

Hospital Authority Convention 2016 will feature some 90distinguished overseas and local speakers to share their knowledgeand insights and interact with delegates at over 50 sessions. ThePlenary Sessions and Symposiums will focus on the HA’s core values,while the Special Topic Sessions will include topics on palliativecare, elderly care, telemedicine, health IT, new clinicalpractices, hospital design and China healthcare. There will also beMasterclasses on various clinical topics, such as emergencymedicine, inborn error of metabolism screening, simulation trainingand tuberculosis management.

The Hong Kong Hospital Authority has been organising thissignature event every year since 1993 to promote sharing ofexperience among healthcare professionals. The Hospital AuthorityConvention held in May 2015 was attended by 5,000 clinicians andhealthcare professionals, including staff of the Hospital Authorityand healthcare managers and executives from Mainland China, HongKong and overseas.
For the Hospital Authority Convention 2016, we will continue tohave many internationally renowned speakers to share their expertviews, ideas and experience.
