He is the 16-timeWorldBilliards and Snooker Champion, Pankaj Advani - the onlyplayer inthe world to win world titles in all formats of both,Billiards andSnooker. He is the only person in the history of thegame to havewon both the billiards and snooker IBSF World Titles aswell as theWorld Professional Billiards Championship. He was thefirst personever to win a "Grand Double" (both the points and timeformats inthe same year) at the IBSF World Billiards Championships2005 inMalta. Pankaj repeated the same feat at the 2008Championships heldin Bangalore. On October 29, 2014 he created aworld record bywinning the Grand Double for the third time, inLeeds, UK. PankajAdvani remaining the only person to have won all 5Billiardstournaments in a season, an accomplishment achieved bywinning theJunior National Championship, Senior NationalChampionship, AsianBilliards Championship, World BilliardsChampionship (Point Format)and World Billiards Championship (TimeFormat). His contribution tothe sport and to India's sportingmilieu has been recognized onmultiple levels. He was bestowed withIndia's prestigious civilianaward, the Padmashree in 2009.
