En Febrero de 2012 un grupo de amigos seunieron con el objetivo de echar unos ratos de Padel en el nuevoclub abierto denominado Sport Padel Gamarra, la mayoría de ellos nosabían ni que forma tenía una Pala de Pádel pero las buenasintenciones y las ganas por aprender hicieron el resto, loscomienzos fueron sólo cuatro jugadores y poco a poco la familia fuéaumentando.

En Agosto de 2012 una loca idea de Antonio Martínez fué secundadapor Rafael Cabello y Javier Aranda los cuales dieron forma y nacióuna primera liga entre 12 Mataos (6 parejas) que comenzó en laprimera semana de Septiembre, ahí se dieron los primeros pasos delo que hoy conocemos como "Liga de Los Mataos".

Desde aquel inicio siempre hemos tenido la inquietud de ampliar laentrada de más Mataos pero siempre hemos sido un poco reaciosdebido a la dificultad logística y mantenimiento de la Liga, antesde las Navidades de 2013 nos propusimos ampliar la liga en variasparejas pero nunca se llegó a pensar en llegar al número que hoydía hemos conseguido, 16 parejas (32 Mataos).

Enero de 2014 fué el comienzo de lo que hoy conocemos como la "Ligade Los Mataos" y la "Copa" de los Mataos, y quien sabe si en unfuturo no muy lejano se volverá a ampliar y hacer mucho más grandea éstos locos del Padel denominados "Los Mataos del Padel"
