Il Dipartimento di Informatica organizza un evento acadenzasemestrale denominato "ITMeeting" che si tiene a maggio eadicembre di ogni anno per permettere ed agevolare l'incontro traineolaureati, i laureandi e le aziende produttrici ograndiutilizzatrici di soluzioni informatiche.

Aziende partecipanti

Le aziende partecipanti sono multinazionali o aziende arespironazionale che hanno anche una sede nel territorio del comunediRoma o della Regione Lazio, ma anche aziende piùpiccolegeneralmente ubicate nel Lazio e che svolgono attivitàfortementeinnovative nel settore informatico.

Esempi di aziende del primo tipo sono la IBM, la Accenture,laNTT Data, o la Reply. Queste aziende hanno assunto negliultimianni molti dei nostri neolaureati e hanno offerto stage etirocinidi laurea ai nostri studenti. Il feedback che abbiamoricevuto daloro è stato molto positivo, poiché si sono dichiaratesoddisfattedella preparazione dei nostri neolaureati e hanno quasisempreassunto gli studenti al termine dello stage/tirocinio.

Un esempio di piccola azienda innovativa è la MobileSoft diRoma,che ha assunto già un paio di neolaureati in Informatica, haassuntonominato direttore tecnico un nostro laureato con circacinque annidi anzianità di laurea, e ha offerto quest'anno ilprimo stage dilaurea a una studentessa della magistrale.

Strutturazione dell'evento

L'ITMeeting è un evento piccolo nel suo genere: partecipanocirca80 studenti ad ogni edizione (tra laureandi e neolaureati)e,proprio per questo, permette alle aziende di conoscerli ad unoaduno. Nell'ambito di una mattinata, l'evento comprende sempre:

• la presentazione di ciascuna azienda (plenaria di10/20minuti)
• la organizzazione di piccoli stand dove le aziende mostranoilloro materiale informativo e, in taluni casi, i prototipidimateriale elettronico o informatico in sviluppo
• un panel di un'ora, al quale partecipano tutti irappresentantiaziendali centrato ogni volta su un diverso temalegato allo statodell'arte in informatica o alle problematiche delmondo dellavoro
• dei colloqui conoscitivi brevi (tipo speed date) trailaureandi/neolaureati e le aziende

Gli studenti parlano con tutte le aziende, anche se perpochiminuti, e c'è uno scambio di informazioni e di contattimoltosoddisfacente per entrambi.

Per i laureandi e neolaureati

Questa app permette agli studenti di registrarsi ai colloqui ediinserire il proprio CV e organizza automaticamente il calendariodeicolloqui.

Per le aziende

Le aziende registrate all'evento possono fare login, conoscereilcalendario dei propri colloqui e visualizzare i CVdeglistudenti.

The Computer Science Department organizes a twice-yearlyeventcalled "ITMeeting" held in May and December of each year toallowand facilitate the meeting between the graduates,undergraduatesand the manufacturers or large users of ITsolutions.

Participating companies

The participating companies are multinationals or companiesatnational scope that also have an office in the Municipality ofRomeand the Lazio Region, but also smaller companies generallyarelocated in New York and whose activities are highly innovativeinthe computer industry.

Examples of the first type of companies are IBM, Accenture,NTTData, or the reply. These companies have taken in recent yearsandmany of our graduates are offered internships andgraduateplacements to our students. The feedback we have receivedfrom themhas been very positive, because they were satisfied withthepreparation of our graduates and have almost always takenthestudents at the end of the internship / apprenticeship.

An example of a small innovative company is the MobileSoftofRome, which has already taken a couple of graduates inComputerScience, has appointed technical director hired ourgraduates withfive years of seniority degree, and has given us thisyear thefirst stage a graduate student in the master.

Structuring event

The ITMeeting is a small event of its kind: about 80studentsparticipate each year (including undergraduates andgraduates) and,for this reason, allows companies to know them oneby one. As partof a morning, the event always includes:

• the presentation of each company (plenary of10/20minutes)
• the organization of small stands where companies showtheirinformation material and, in some cases, the prototypesofelectronic or computer in development
• a panel of one hour, with the participation of allcompanyrepresentatives whenever centered on a different themerelated tothe state of the art in computer science or the problemsof theworking world
• cognitive interviews of short (type speed date)amongundergraduates / graduates and companies

Students speak with all companies, even if for a few minutes,andthere is an exchange of information and contacts verysatisfactoryfor both.

For undergraduates and recent graduates

This app allows students to register at the talks andincludeyour CV and automatically organizes the schedule oftalks.

For companies

Companies registered event could log in, know the timing oftheirdiscussions and view the CVs of students.
