The Linde Pre-Operational Check app simplifies the forklifttruckcheck. The employee is able to check the condition of theequipmentprior to operation using a simple digital questionnaire.The truckcheck also functions as a form of access control. Thetruck canonly be started once the employee’s assessment of it hasfound nofaults and all mandatory questions have been answered.Accesscontrol The truck is connected to the app via NFC. The truckcanonly be started once the visual inspection of it has shown theretobe no serious faults. Truck check A digital checklist is usedtorecord and document the condition of trucks prior to startingwork.The employee answers the questions with either ‘YES’ or‘NO’.Depending on the answer given, the employee then moves on tothenext question, is required to submit a photo, or the truck isshutdown. Test results are transmitted digitally, which cuts downonpaperwork and makes archiving simpler. DocumentationPhotodocumentation is taken of any problems or truck damage, andthiscan then be forwarded directly to the fleet manager. WorksafetyOnly after a successful check can the truck be started.Thisincreases operational safety. Customised checklist Thecatalogue ofquestions available in the app can be adapted to suitthecustomer’s individual requirements. The fleet manager can selectadifferent type and number of questions according to the areaofapplication and usage intensity. Once the checklist is ready, aQRcode is generated which can be saved as a PDF along withthequestions and printed out. The driver can then use the QR codetodownload the checklist in the Pre-Operational Check app.Multiplelanguages The questions and prompts are available inmultiplelanguages. The driver can select the language they speakand thefleet manager can be confident that the questions have notbeenmisunderstood due to language barriers.
