Inventory - NetAssistant Tool allows the userto create a Network Devices Inventory of Cisco IOS Routers andSwitches by location and running the appropriate device levelcommands to collect and monitor basic network inventory informationfrom the active devices.

The first-time Tool user needs to "Sign Up" first following theinstallation of the Tool to define a local user and password; thencreate a Network by clicking on the "Create Network" button tofill-in the Network name and Details fields. Multiple network aresupported at the same time to meet and enhance user preferences inviewing networks.

From the created list of Networks the user can access a definednetwork to generate a Map where they can apply a long touch on thescreen on the location of the Router device to see a Cisco routericon followed by a short click on the device icon to get the popupbubble.

This free package is limited to only 3 Networks with 3 Deviceseach.

The popup bubble for each of the defined Router devices includesa settings icon which links the user to the device's credentialswhich the user needs to fill-in as per the actual routerconfiguration.

The information to fill-in are:

1. The Router's IP Address or DNS Name
2. The Router's UserName (or HTTP Client UserName)
3. The router Password (or HTTP Client User Password)

The Network router commands profile is accessed by clicking onthe device popup bubble in the area of the device name/ip and theicon.

The Tool is designed for Cisco IOS based network routers andswitches.

The Tool exploits the HTTP Server IOS feature architecture byapplying the [ip http server] command. The user needs to define theappropriate username and password from the device and has theopportunity to also create an HTTP client user and associatedpassword for each defined device credentials in the inventory.

The Cisco IOS Router Commands supported on this package are:

Show Inventory command;

This command displays hardware-specific information for themonitored router.

Show Platform command;

This command shows platform-specific information for themonitored router.

Show Hardware command;

This command retrieves and displays inventory information abouteach Cisco product in the inventory displaying three separate dataelements: th product identifier (PID), version identifier (VID),and the serial number (SN).

Show Environment;

This command is used to display temperature, voltage, fan, andpower supply information.

Show Version command;

The command obtains IOS identification information and variousother information pertaining to the Cisco IOS Version and FeatureSet as well as hardware information about the router.
