Апокрифическое (т.е. не вошедшее в НовыйЗавет) Евангелие личного ученика Иисуса Христа Апостола Филиппа,обнаруженное археологами лишь в 1945 г. в Египте, содержитважнейшую информацию, сообщённую Филиппу Иисусом Христом.
Евангелие касается высших медитативных техник, приводящихподвижника в Обитель Бога-Отца, обозначенную Филиппом как «ЧертогБрачный». В Евангелии художественно сплетены две линии изложения:линия сексуальной любви между людьми — и линия высшей Любви к Богу,причём первая рассматривается как прообраз второй.
Евангелие написано высокохудожественным литературным языком,выполнено в притчевой манере.
Оно не было известно до сих пор русскоязычному читателю. Трипредыдущих его издания, вошедшие в тематические сборники, былиподготовлены переводчиками, которые сами не понимали смысла текста.Ими сделаны лишь попытки «дословного» перевода, которые в итогеоказались, в основном, непонятными наборами не связанных друг сдругом слов.
