On June 19th the Swedish-based divingcompanyOcean Explorer discovered something they’ve never quiteseenbefore. They were exploring in the Baltic Sea between SwedenandFinland looking for sunken treasures when a very unusualimagesuddenly appeared on the sonar. A 60 m (197 feet) diametercylindershaped object was discovered at the depth of approximately84 m(275 feet).

In may 2012 the team bought a ship called “the Ancylus” tobeused in an expedition to the anomaly to find out what it reallyis.The first expedition started in June 2012. The teamreportedunusual problems with their electronic equipment near thesite.After sending down an unmanned mini-sub a ROV, the diversenteredthe water.
One of the more experienced of the divers , Stefan Hogeborn,gavethe comment: “During my 20-year diving career, including6000dives, I have never seen anything like this. Normally stonesdon’tburn. I can’t explain what we saw, and I went down there toanswerquestions, but I came up with even more questions “

Some of the theories about this strange object are that it isaUFO. Other people think it could be ancient man-made structuresorjust a big rock with a strange shape. No matter what, imageshaveproven that the object is unique with walls having 90degreeangles, steps and other features.
