The Meghalaya Guardian, an exclusive Englishdaily for Meghalaya, was launched by the GL Publications Ltd. onJanuary 1, 1990. Since then it has been widely accepted by thepeople of Meghalaya owing to its unbiased reporting. GLPUblications was established in 1988 in Guwahati by Mr. GLAgarwalla, a businessman and philanthropist.

Its wide network of correspondents reach out to every nook andcranny of the State and portray news and events with a realisticand humanistic approach. The daily is CA certified and as per thecertificate, the current circulation of The Meghalaya Guardian is alittle over 20,296.

GL Publications since its establishment has transformed itselfinto the largest media house of the North East. This is the firstgroup which revolutionised the newspaper industry in the Northeastern region by introducing latest printing teechnologies andhaving their own delevery vehicles. Now, four daily newspapers comeout of this publication house reaching out to a wide readership inthe region.
