He was one of the most popular authors inTamilliterature, and a regular contributor to topical columns inTamilperiodicals such as Ananda Vikatan, Kumudam and Kalki. He hadawide readership, and served for a brief period as the editorofKumudam, and has also composed screenplays and dialoguesforseveral Tamil movies.
