CertainTeed Gypsum, Inc. presents CertainTeeddBstation: the first interactive, virtual reality program, whichsimulates the acoustic performance of SilentFX Noise-ReducingGypsum Board solutions. It allows comparison and selection of thebest acoustic solution for residential and commercial applications.

We suggest that the optimal way of listening to the dBstationapp is through headphones to ensure clarity and quality of theacoustic performance.

The acoustic simulator is composed of two parts:

• A catalogue where you can first compare systems under neutralconditions. A range of systems were selected to allow simulationsand comparisons in order to promote the sound insulation benefitsof those value-added systems. The sound varies in real timedepending on user’s selection.  CertainTeed has over 20 testedsystems, all of which are not in this simulator but can be found atour web site at www.certainteed.com/silentfx

• A scenario application to experience the same productsperformance, in real-life situations.
