Apa itu guru pembelajar? Programinidikembangkan oleh Kemdikbud pasca UKG tahun 2015 lalu.Tujuannyauntuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru. Artinya guru disuruhlagibelajar untuk meningkatkan kompetensinya lewat pelatihanbaikberupa tatap muka maupun online.

Sebagai mana kita tahu nilai standar minimum UKG untuk tahun2016adalah 65 naik 10 poin dibanding standar minimum UKG 2015 laluyanghanya 55 poin. Saat ini program guru pembelajar baru diikutisekitar1200 an orang yang terdiri dari guru yang memiliki nilaiUjiKompetensi Guru (UKG) diatas 80, Widyaiswara dari LPMP danPPPTK,dan dosen. Nantinya mereka akan ditunjuk menjadi instrukturbagiguru lainnya di seluruh Indonesia

Saat ini sudah ada modul resmi yang dirilis Kemdikbuddalamrangka pelatihan guru pembelajar.Proses Guru pembelajar saatinisedang dalam pelatihan para instruktur Nasional danNarasumberNasional yang nantinya akan melatih guru guru di daerahdalamprogram guru pembelajar tersebut.

Sejalan dengan Program Guru Pembelajar, pemetaan kompetensibaikKompetensi Pedagogik maupun Kompetensi Profesionalsangatdibutuhkan bagi Guru. Informasi tentang peta kompetensitersebutdiwujudkan, salah satunya dalam Modul Pelatihan GuruPembelajardari berbagai mata pelajaran.
