بعد ذلك أتبعه سامي يوسف بالألبوم الثاني تحت عنوان “أمتي” والذيحققانتشاراً واسعاً , حيث شهد نسبة مبيعات تجاوزت الأربع مليون نسخةفيمختلف أنحاء العالم.
و سرعان ما احتل العناوين الرئيسية على القنوات العالميةكقناةالـ”سي.أن.أن” والـ”بي.بي.سي” والـ”أي.بي.سي” والجزيرة، ناهيكعنالقنوات الفضائية الرئيسية سواءً في الشرق الأوسط وتركيا. أطلقتعليهمجلة التايمز البريطانية لقب “أكبر نجم روك مسلم” ولقب “أشهرمسلمبريطاني في العالم” من قبل مجلة الغارديان. لقد كانت مجرد مسألةوقت.فقد انتشر الفنان المحبوب بشكل هائل عبر وسائل الإعلام حيث أصبحالصوتالأكثر طلباً، كما تمت الإشادة بالفن الذي يقدمه سامي حيث وصِفبمنارةالإيجابية والجوهر. واعتبرت موسيقاه البديل المنافس للموسيقىالغربيةالسائدة.
