Politics in the name of religion has beenonthe rise in the sub continent from last four decades inparticular.This communal politics is very apparent in the form ofviolence inthe name of religions. The violence in turn isorchestrated due tohate which is prevalent due tomisconceptions.

‘Unite India’ is a small attempt to address some ofthemisconceptions prevalent in the society.

Most of the misconceptions have roots in the medieval periodofhistory while many a current social issues are also used tocreatemyths and misconceptions. There are few books which deal withthisvery comprehensively.

We have selected some popularly prevalent misconceptions anddealtwith them with the help of material from historians andsocialactivists whose books are listed at the end.
