روى الإمام أحمد (17803) عَنِ الْبَرَاءِبْنِعَازِبٍ عن النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ :(إِنَّ الْعَبْدَ الْمُؤْمِنَ إِذَا كَانَ فِي انْقِطَاعٍمِنْالدُّنْيَا وَإِقْبَالٍ مِنْ الآخِرَةِ نَزَلَ إِلَيْهِمَلائِكَةٌمِنْ السَّمَاءِ بِيضُ الْوُجُوهِ كَأَنَّ وُجُوهَهُمْالشَّمْسُمَعَهُمْ كَفَنٌ مِنْ أَكْفَانِ الْجَنَّةِ وَحَنُوطٌ مِنْحَنُوطِالْجَنَّةِ حَتَّى يَجْلِسُوا مِنْهُ مَدَّ الْبَصَرِ ثُمَّيَجِيءُمَلَكُ الْمَوْتِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلام حَتَّى يَجْلِسَ عِنْدَرَأْسِهِفَيَقُولُ : أَيَّتُهَا النَّفْسُ الطَّيِّبَةُ اخْرُجِيإِلَىمَغْفِرَةٍ مِنْ اللَّهِ وَرِضْوَانٍ قَالَ : فَتَخْرُجُتَسِيلُكَمَا تَسِيلُ الْقَطْرَةُ مِنْ فِي السِّقَاءِ فَيَأْخُذُهَافَإِذَاأَخَذَهَا لَمْ يَدَعُوهَا فِي يَدِهِ طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍحَتَّىيَأْخُذُوهَا فَيَجْعَلُوهَا فِي ذَلِكَ الْكَفَنِ وَفِيذَلِكَالْحَنُوطِ وَيَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا كَأَطْيَبِ نَفْحَةِ مِسْكٍوُجِدَتْعَلَى وَجْهِ الأَرْضِ قَالَ : فَيَصْعَدُونَ بِهَا فَلايَمُرُّونَيَعْنِي بِهَا عَلَى مَلإٍ مِنْ الْمَلائِكَةِ إِلاّقَالُوا مَاهَذَا الرُّوحُ الطَّيِّبُ فَيَقُولُونَ فُلانُ بْنُفُلانٍبِأَحْسَنِ أَسْمَائِهِ الَّتِي كَانُوا يُسَمُّونَهُ بِهَافِيالدُّنْيَا حَتَّى يَنْتَهُوا بِهَا إِلَى السَّمَاءِالدُّنْيَافَيَسْتَفْتِحُونَ لَهُ فَيُفْتَحُ لَهُمْ فَيُشَيِّعُهُمِنْ كُلِّسَمَاءٍ مُقَرَّبُوهَا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ الَّتِي تَلِيهَاحَتَّىيُنْتَهَى بِهِ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ السَّابِعَةِ فَيَقُولُاللَّهُعَزَّ وَجَلَّ : اكْتُبُوا كِتَابَ عَبْدِي فِيعِلِّيِّينَوَأَعِيدُوهُ إِلَى الأَرْضِ فَإِنِّي مِنْهَاخَلَقْتُهُمْ وَفِيهَاأُعِيدُهُمْ وَمِنْهَا أُخْرِجُهُمْ تَارَةًأُخْرَى ، قَالَ:فَتُعَادُ رُوحُهُ فِي جَسَدِهِ فَيَأْتِيهِمَلَكَانِفَيُجْلِسَانِهِ ... )
فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَنَّ الرُّوحَ تَبْقَى بَعْدَمُفَارَقَةِالْبَدَنِ ؛ خِلَافًا لِضُلَّالِ الْمُتَكَلِّمِينَ ؛وَأَنَّهَاتَصْعَدُ وَتَنْزِلُ خِلَافًا لِضُلَّالِ الْفَلَاسِفَةِ ؛وَأَنَّهَاتُعَادُ إلَى الْبَدَنِ ، وَأَنَّ الْمَيِّتَ يُسْأَلُفَيُنَعَّمُأَوْ يُعَذَّبُ
فالفترة التي تكون بين قبض الروح والدفن وسؤال القبر : هيبالنسبةللمؤمن أول رحلة السعادة الأبدية ، حيث يُبشر بالجنة والنعيمالمقيم ،ويكتب كتابه في عليين ، وهنالك تفرح روحه وتسعد ، فلا تشقىأبدا.
وهي بالنسبة للكافر أول رحلة العذاب الأبدية حيث يسخط الله عليهولايأذن بفتح أبواب السماء ولا أبواب الرحمة له ، ويكتب كتابه في سجين،وهنالك تشقى روحه فلا تسعد أبدا
