Outlast 2 (stylized as OU⸸LASTII) isafirst-person survival horror video game developed and publishedbyRed Barrels. It is the sequel to the 2013 video game Outlast,andfeatures a journalist named Blake Langermann, along with hiswifeLynn, roaming the Arizona desert to explore the murder ofapregnant woman, Jane Doe.[2] Unfortunately, Blake and Lynngetseparated in a helicopter crash, and Blake has to find hiswifewhile traveling through a village inhabited by a sect thatbelievesthe end of days is upon them. Shortly after the releaseandpopularity of Outlast, Red Barrels announced the sequel. Agameplaydemo was then released at both PAX East and E3 2016 onApril 22 andJune 15 respectively, with a release slated for Fall2016. However,due to complications during development, the game wasdelayed to Q12017 on August 1. Despite the promise to release thegame in Q1 of2017, the game's release date was further pushed to Q22017.[3] Thegame was released on April 25, 2017 for MicrosoftWindows,PlayStation 4 and Xbox One to generally favorablereviews.
