The Old Paradians Association seeks to fosterlinks with all past students, whose formative years were shaped bythe Christian Brothers of Parade College.

Formally established in 1914, the Association’s inaugural 13-mancommittee included the President James Kennedy (who completed hisMatriculation class at Parade in 1890), Reverend Brother JM Dwyerand the Rush brothers Robert and William, all of whom maintained acontinuing interest in the Association for the rest of theirlives.

Today, the Association continues to foster alumni interest andgoodwill by encouraging intellectual and emotional ties betweenAssociation members and their College – as a means of upholding thetraditions in keeping with Parade’s famous tenet.

The Association also actively pursues its many and variedsporting and cultural interests, and seeks to work with theCollege’s Careers & Guidance Counsellor in assisting studentsand former students of the College with their professions. The OldParadians Association is an organisation within CBC Parade Collegethat aims to bring together alumni of the College and encourage andcoordinate their support for the College.

The President of the Old Paradians Association is supported by aVice-President and Committee of ten.

The Committee consists of three members of CBC Parade Collegeand eight members of Parade College’s alumni community.

The Chief Executive Officer is employed by the College tooversee the work of the Association and to act as Alumni Officer.The President, Vice-President and Treasurer are elected by theCommittee from amongst their number.

The Committee is responsible for directing the business of theOld Paradians Association and for providing advice and support tothe Chief Executive Officer.

With a database that is spread all over the world, theassociation is always looking at ways to not only communicate withtheir current members but also to encourage past students to jointhe association and to become involved with their fellowalumni.

With a forward thinking and dynamic committee the club wasactively pursuing different methods of how to achieve this.

After a long and lengthy process the executive committee decidedthat with the boom in smart phone usage the best method for theclub to achieve their goal of getting more people involved in theclub was to release their very own fully association branded nativemobile phone app for Android.

No longer will you have to worry about missing out on news orinformation about association as the app will serve as your numberone source of information about the association!
