WiFi Better Battery prolongs your phone ortablet's battery life by making sure WiFi/WLAN is only turned onwhen you need it. When you leave the range of your WiFi network,your device's WiFi is automatically turned off (after a short delayto allow for quick reconnects after a connection hiccup). As soonas you get back in range, your WiFi is turned back on and you areautomatically connected back to your favourite network.

There's no need to worry about your network password orconnection data - any passwords are entered in the original Androidsettings tool, and the app does not have the permission to viewnetwork traffic.

What makes it better than similar apps? Other WiFi powersavers require you to set up a condition to turn on (some also toturn off) WiFi, like the time of day or your location. That meansless privacy and more battery usage. WiFi Better Battery simplyuses a very low-power state in which only scanning is available(Android 4.3 and up only) to always be connected quickly whilestill saving battery.

WiFi Better Battery also comes with an optional securityfeature. It is a little known fact how insecure Android's WiFifunctionality is. By default, Android only checks the name of anetwork before connecting to it. That means that if you have anetwork saved, and Android detects another network with the samename, Android automatically tries to connect to it. A maliciousdevice could use this to collect passwords that are sent duringconnection attempts or send harmful data to your device. WiFiBetter Battery offers an optional MAC address check to try toprevent such attacks. MAC addresses uniquely identify a device.
