On this day, the hedgehog decides to bring the bear cubsomeraspberry jam.The fog alternately thickens and thins; when itthinsthe hedgehog briefly catches vague sight of objects andcreatureswhich disappear again as the fog thickens. Hedgehog findshimselfin a surreal and often frightening world inhabited by shapeswhichare not always identifiable and various creatures rangingfromdangerous predators to benevolent animals, in a world ofsilenceand rustles, of darkness, tall grass and enchantingstars.
The owl, which has been following the hedgehog, appears nearhimsuddenly and hoots only to disappear again, prompting theHedgehogto call it psycho (Russian: псих). He is frightened, buthiscuriosity keeps him exploring the unknown. Occasionally anunseendistant voice is heard calling out for Hedeghog.
