Alecia Beth Moore (born September 8,1979),known professionally as Pink (frequently stylized as P!nk),is anAmerican singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress. She wassigned toher first record label with original R&B girl groupChoice in1995. The label saw potential in only Pink, offering her asolodeal. Choice disbanded in 1998. Pink rose as an artist withherdebut solo album, Can't Take Me Home (2000). It wascertifieddouble-platinum in the United States and spawned twoBillboard Hot100 top-ten hits: "There You Go" and "Most Girls". Shegainedfurther recognition with the Moulin Rouge! soundtrack"LadyMarmalade", which gave Pink her first Grammy Award as well asherfirst number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100. Pink tookcontrolin early 2001 insisting she wanted to work with herchildhood hero,Linda Perry. Pink took more artistic control andpursued pop rockdirection for her second album, Missundaztood(2001). It sold morethan 15 million copies worldwide and yieldedthree United Statestop-ten singles, "Get the Party Started", "Don'tLet Me Get Me",and "Just Like a Pill".
Pink's third studio album, Try This (2003), generatedconsiderablylower sales, but earned her the Grammy Award for BestFemale RockVocal Performance. Pink revived her popularity with herfourth andfifth studio albums, I'm Not Dead (2006) and Funhouse(2008), withthe latter containing her second United Statesnumber-one hit, "SoWhat". Pink concluded the first decade of hercareer with thecompilation album Greatest Hits... So Far!! (2010),which featured"Fuckin' Perfect" and the chart-topping single "RaiseYour Glass".Her sixth studio album, The Truth About Love (2012),debuted atnumber one on the Billboard 200 and spawned the top-tensingles"Blow Me (One Last Kiss)", "Try", and "Just Give Me aReason", withthe latter becoming her fourth United Statesnumber-one single. In2014 Pink recorded a collaborative album, RoseAve., with Canadianmusician Dallas Green under a folk music duonamed You+Me.

In 2009,Billboard recognizedPink as the Pop Songs Artist of the Decade.Pink was also the secondmost-played female solo artist in theUnited Kingdom during the2000s decade, behind Madonna.
