قال الله تعالى: (يا أيها الذين آمنوا لا تلهكم أمولكم ولا أولادكمعنذكر الله ومن يفعل ذلك فأولئك هم الخاسرون. وأنفقوا من ما رزقنكممنقبل أن يأتي أحدكم الموت فيقول رب لو لا أخرتني إلى أجل قريبفأصدقوأكن من الصالحين. ولن يؤخر الله نفسا إذا جاء أجلها والله خبيربماتعملون.).
وفي كتاب الترمذي قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: "" أكثروا ذكرهازماللذات الموت "" .
وفي الصحيحين عن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما أن رسول الله صلى اللهعليهوسلم قال: "" ما حق امرئ مسلم له شيء يوصي فيه يبيت ليلتين إلاووصيتهمكتوبة عنده "" وفي رواية مسلم: "" يبيت ثلاث ليال "" قال ابنعمر رضيالله عنهما ما مرت علي ليلة منذ سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليهوسلمقال ذلك إلا وعندي وصيتي.
وفي صحيح البخاري عن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما قال: "" أخذ رسول اللهصلىالله عليه وسلم بمنكبي وقال: كن في الدنيا كأنك غريب أو عابر سبيلوعدنفسك من أصحاب القبور "" أي لا تركنن إليها ولا تتخذها وطنا ولاتحدثنفسك بطول البقاء فيها ولا بالاعتناء بها ولا تتعلق منها بما لايتعلقبه الغريب في غير وطنه. لا تشتغل فيها به الغريب الذي يريدالذهاب إلىأهله، وكان ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما يقول: إذا أمسيت فلاتنتظر الصباحوإذا أصبحت فلا تنتظر المساء، وخذ من صحتك لمرضك ومنحياتكلموتك.
وقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "" اثنتان يكرهما ابن آدميكرهالموت والموت خير للمؤمن من الفتنة ويكره قلة المال وقلة المالأقلالحساب "" .
وقال حاتم الأصم: لكل شيء زينة وزينة العبادة الخوف وعلامة الخوفقصرالأمل.
وقيل للحسن ألا تغسل قميصك فقال الأمر أعجل من ذلك.
أعلم أنه يسن لكل واحد من المكلفين إكثار ذكر الموت وينبغي أن يستعدلهبالتوبة إلى الله تعالى ورد المظالم والمريض أكد لأنه يرق بهقلبهويخاف فيرجع عن المظالم ويقبل على الطاعات.
واعلم أن بني آدم طائفتان طائفة نظروا إلى شاهد خيال الدنياوتمسكوابتأميل العمر الطويل ولم يتفكروا في النفس الأخير، وطائفةعقلاء جعلواالنفس الأخير نصب أعينهم لينظروا ماذا يكون مصيرهم، وكيفيخرجون منالدنيا ويفارقونها وإيمانهم سالم وما الذي ينزل معهم منالدنيا فيقبورهم وما الذي يتركونه لأعدائهم ويبقى عليهم وباله ونكالهوهذهالفكرة واجبة على كافة الخلق وهي على الملوك وأهل الدنيا أوجبلأنهمكثيرا ما أزعجوا قلوب الخلق وأدخلوا في قلوبهم الرعب فإن الحقتعالىذكره ملاكا يعرف بملك الموت لا مهرب لأحد من مطالبته ونشبته وكلموكليالملوك يأخذون جعلهم ذهبا وطعاما، وهذا الوكيل لا يأخذ سوى الروحجعلاوسائر موكلي السلاطين تنفع عندهم الشفاعة وهذا الموكل لا تنفععندهشفاعة شافع وجميع الموكلين يمهلون من يوكلون به اليوم والساعةوهذاالموكل لا يهمل نفسا واحدا.
