First Aid is the initial carethat's given to the victim before medically trained personnelarrive, or before the victim arrives at a health care center. Firstyou should pay more attention to the most critical problems, likeopening of an airway, the presence of bleeding, and function of theheart. Keep the patient as warm and as comfortable as possible. Ifthe victim is conscious, ask for details of their medical history,a known heart condition, or allergic reactions to drugs. If thevictim is unconscious, look for a medical identification card,bracelet, or a necklace. Try not to move your victim. But if you domove the victim, move them as little as possible, particularly ifthere is a possibility of broken bones. If they're vomiting, justmove their head so the vomit can exit easily out of their mouth sothey don't breath in the vomit. Hopefully by now, the victim isstable enough until professional personnel arrives.
