الحكمة هي اكتساب العلم من التعلم أو منالتجاربويقاربها في المعنى كلمة الخبرة،
والحكيم هو شخصٌ عاقل يرجح الامور نحو الصواب بما امتلكه من خبراتعبرتجاربه في الحياة . وقد شهد تاريخ الإنسانية العديد من الحكماءالعربوغير العرب ،
حيث تعتبر جزءاً من التقاليد والعادات التي يجب أن يراعيهاالإنسانأثناء تأدية أعماله اليومية بغض النظر عن الدين والعرقوالقومية.
حيث عرف بعضهم أن الحكمة عمل ما ينبغي كما ينبغي في الوقت الذيينبغيأي بما معناهُ وضع الأمور في نصابها ،
حيث هناك حكم اصلحت للتطبيق لمختلف العصور فكانت عميقة المعنىوبعضمنها ما لا يصلح إلا زمن من الأزمنة فتكون سطحية المعنى وقدتأتيالحكمة في النثر والشعر

أبو حفص عمر بن الخطاب العدوي القرشي، المُلقب بالفاروق، هوثانيالخلفاء الراشدين ومن كبار أصحاب الرسول محمد، وأحد أشهرالأشخاصوالقادة في التاريخ الإسلامي ومن أكثرهم تأثيرًا ونفوذًا. هوأحدالعشرة المبشرين بالجنة، ومن علماء الصحابة وزهّادهم. تولّىالخلافةالإسلامية بعد وفاة أبي بكر الصديق في 23 أغسطس سنة 634م،الموافقللثاني والعشرين من جمادى الثانية سنة 13 هـ. كان ابن الخطّابقاضيًاخبيرًا وقد اشتهر بعدله وإنصافه الناس من المظالم، سواء كانوامسلمينأو غير مسلمين، وكان ذلك أحد أسباب تسميته بالفاروق، لتفريقهبين الحقوالباطل.
هو مؤسس التقويم الهجري، وفي عهده بلغ الإسلام مبلغًا عظيمًا،وتوسعنطاق الدولة الإسلامية حتى شمل كامل العراق ومصر وليبيا والشاموفارسوخراسان وشرق الأناضول وجنوب أرمينية وسجستان، وهو الذي أدخلالقدستحت حكم المسلمين لأول مرة وهي ثالث أقدس المدن في الإسلام،وبهذااستوعبت الدولة الإسلامية كامل أراضي الإمبراطورية الفارسيةالساسانيةوحوالي ثلثيّ أراضي الامبراطورية البيزنطية. تجلّت عبقريةعمر بنالخطاب العسكرية في حملاته المنظمة المتعددة التي وجهها لإخضاعالفرسالذين فاقوا المسلمين قوة، فتمكن من فتح كامل إمبراطوريتهم خلالأقلمن سنتين، كما تجلّت قدرته وحنكته السياسية والإدارية عبر حفاظهعلىتماسك ووحدة دولة كان حجمها يتنامى يومًا بعد يوم ويزداد عددسكانهاوتتنوع أعراقها.

حكم و اقوال عمر بن الخطاب الفاروق من كبار الصحابة رضي اللهعنه(أبو حفص عمر بن الخطاب العدوي القرشي المُلقب بالفاروق )،,وثانيالخلفاء الراشدين، وأحد العشرة من الصحابة المبشرين بالجنة،مثال نادرفي الشهامة والعدل والإنصاف، والزهد والتقشف،وأحد أشهرالصحابةوالقادة في التاريخ الإسلامي .
كان من أشد الصحابة حبًا للإسلام ودفاعًا عنه وعن أهله، ومنأكثرهمإخلاصًا له.

وعن فضله بين الصحابة روى البخاري في صحيحه والترمذي فيالسننوالطبراني في المعجم الأوسط، عن محمد بن الحنفية (وهو محمد بنعلي بنأبي طالب) قال:«قلت لأبي: "أي الناس خير بعد رسول الله صلى اللهعليهوسلم؟" قال: "أبو بكر". قلت: "ثم من؟" قال: "ثم عمر". وخشيت أنيقولعثمان، قلت: "ثم أنت؟" قال: "ما أنا إلا رجل من المسلمين.

وقد وردت أحاديث وآثار عديدة تبين فضل عمر ومكانته بينالصحابة.ومنها:
وعن طلحة بن عبيد الله قال: «ما كان عمر بأولنا إسلامًا ولاأقدمناهجرة، ولكنه كان أزهدنا في الدنيا وأرغبنا في الآخرة»،خرجهالفضائلي.

رأى الفاروق رجلاً مظهرا للنسك متماوت المشية فخفقه بالدرةوقالله:لا تمت علينا ديننا أماتك الله

وقال رضى الله عنه:
لا تنظروا إلى صيام أحد ولا إلى صلاته ولكن انظروا من إذا حدث صدقوإذاائتمن أدى و إذا أشفى-هم بالمعصيه-ورع.

وقال رضى الله عنه:
ليس خيركم من عمل للآخره وترك الدنيا ، أوعمل للدنيا وترك الآخره،ولكن خيركم من أخذمن هذه وهذه ، وإنما الحرج فى الرغبه فيما تجاوزقدرالحاجه وزاد على حد الكفايه.

وقال رضى الله عنه:
نظر الفاروق إلى شاب منكس الرأس فصاح به:إرفع رأسك فإن الخشوع لايزيدعلى ما فى القلب ، فمن أظهر للناس خشوعاً فوق ما فىقلبهفإنماأظهرللناس نفاقاً إلى نفاق.
