Virlan Garcia is a singer, guitarist,andcomposer in the Mexican regional genre, specializing innorteño,corridos, and bandas. Garcia comes from Sinaloa and he haswrittenfor a number of artists, including Gerardo Ortiz, who chosehis"Fuego Cruzado" to open his smash Hoy Más Fuerte album.Garcia'sown music follows the sierreño (trio) format. He playsrhythmguitar and is accompanied by Carlos Gomez on 12-string(lead)guitar and Edgar Salazar on tuba. His debut single, "Que YaEstasHarta," was issued digitally in the spring of 2015 and landedonvarious regional Mexican song charts. He placed several songsonyear-end "best corridos" compilations from a variety of labels.InFebruary of the following year, he independently (andunusually)released two full-length albums, Pobre o Criminal, whichincludedthe oft-covered single "Quién Te Entiende," and Yi CambioMiSuerte, featuring the popular YouTube video single"IvanArchivaldo."
