The theme of our conference this year is“Wavesof Opportunity” and it promises to be a truly inspiringandeducational event. For those of you who have attended ourannualconference in the past, you can attest to the quality andvarietyof speakers that this event offers.

Wednesday and Thursday pre-conference learning labs will offeravariety of topics. On Friday the conference kicks off withKeynoteSpeaker Penny Kaye Jensen, DNP, FNP-C, FAAN, FAANP.Throughout hercareer, Dr. Jensen has been a strong advocate for andleader innursing and an expert on nurse practitioner issues attheinternational, national, state and local levels.Immediatelyfollowing the keynote presentation will be the 2015LegislativeUpdate. Members will also be asked for their input toformulatenext year’s legislative agenda.

Friday’s lunch session will feature Robert Donaldson,FNP-BC,FAANP, who is the Clinical Director of Emergency MedicineandPresident of Medical Staff at the Ellenville RegionalHospital.Bob’s lecture is entitled, “The Nurse Practitioner IS aLeader”.Friday will conclude with regional meetings followed by acocktailreception. This is a great opportunity to network withother nursepractitioners and students from around the state and tocelebrateThe NPA’s 35th anniversary as an association.

Saturday will begin at 8:00 am with our Annual GeneralMembershipMeeting to include the presentation of awards.Saturday’s lunchsession will feature Michael Loughran, Presidentof Aon AffinityInsurance Services in the Healthcare Division.Michael will presenton “Stay Ahead of the Curve – Don’t Become aCase Study”. On Sundayconcurrent sessions will end at noon.
