Haze spent the adolescent years of his life in Montclair, NJandlater on in and around Newark. It was in Newark where thepersonaknown as Haze Brown was born. Artists such as Outkast,Ludacris,Redman, and Nelly influenced Haze early on into the worldof HipHop. Ironically, his first experience in writing on his ownwas amockery of the thong song. In the kitchen that afternoonherealized he had a knack for rhyming. From there he startedwritingand rapping focusing more on humorous topics. Until at age16 whenhe found another use for writing, and began using it as anoutlet.Along with Jay Sweetz, a childhood friend and the one whopushedhim into serious writing, Haze then started and fell outofdifferent rap groups, not being able to find anyone asseriousabout the music. At 20, he began his most recent rap groupTheEmbassy, not including Jay Sweetz who had moved by thistime,releasing only one album titled “Digital Anarchy” (availableonamazon.com). The group came to an unexpected halt after a falloutamong friends in 2008. Left on his own again Haze continuedwritingand searching for a musical home. A promising moment cameshortlyafter the group’s end when Haze was signed to Goon Toonz, arecordlabel founded by Cousin Al-Tariq “Heathen” Miller. Hazeauditionedfor the label and was signed on his own merit. Nowfocusing on hissolo career, after what Haze deemed a sign when hismothersuggested to him to write his frustrations into an album,hereleased the 4 already written tracks on “F.O.H”. F.O.H; an EPthatfocuses on the subjects of his anger stemmed from the stupidityandnegative output from the society we are surrounded by, added toallthe personal turmoil of his life that all brought him to amomentthat made him say “Fuck outta here”. Haze is now working on“BrightLights Dim Minds”, his first solo album. It’s what hedescribes as“A story of the good and bad sides of fame and fortunefrom aneveryday man".
