It uses the phone’smicrophoneto detect the pressure of sound (or sound volume) andthen displaythat value on a sound meter in decibels(db). Keeping inmind thatthe phone’s microphone are manufactured and alignedaccording tohuman voice, hence the maximum values are limited bythemanufacturer. The features of this sound genie include:

• Smartphones are aligned to be used on human voices and nothigherlevel of db.
• Although the sound meter comes calibrated to most devices,butthere is a user-calibration also available
inside the application.
• You can adjust the sound meter’s sensitivity according toyourdevice’s hardware. Minor errors that arise due to
hardware difference can be calibrated.
