The Guardian App was inspired by the #MeToo movement, and istotallyFREE. Our company is focused in the Hotel Industry, and asthe#MeToo movement began, we realized that Hotel EmployeeslikeHousekeepers, needed a smarter security than a datedtechnologylike a panic button. So we invented an NFC technologywhere theHousekeeper taps one of two NFC Discs. One placed outsidethe RoomDoor. When tapped, a timer in the server begins, givingtheHousekeeper time to look in the closet, bathroom, etc.beforetaping a second NFC Disc on the other side of the room tostop thetimer on the server. If the second NFC Disc wasn't tappedin time,then security is instantly alerted to which employee, room,andmore. Our CMO, a strong and independent woman and one ofoursuperstars, was the first to realize that this technology wouldbegreat for situations such as parking lots. Our founders motherevenweighed in, saying this technology was truly that importanttowomen. We did some research and found that between 2004 -2008,more than 400,000 violent assaults happened in parking lotsorgarages. So we decided to create a Free version of ourtechnologyfor every woman. The scenario is pretty simple. Tap anNFC Discplaced at your work Exit Door. Based on your experience,you've setthe timer for a time that you feel comfortably you willget to yourcar. In your car you have a second NFC Disc, which isstrategicallyplaced, so its only known where to you. If you areassaulted, thenthe timer will run out and the system willimmediately contact yourGuardian, whomever you have chosen. Thetechnology isn't designedto prevent crime. The truth is thatnothing can prevent crime inevery circumstance. This technology ismeant to make sure thatsomeone knows your in trouble. Because everyminute that no oneknows you need help, is a minute to long.
