Additionally, they can be used to "boost" certainbuildings,such as resource productions and barracks. Gems may beacquiredthrough in-app purchases, they may be awarded for reachingcertainmilestones or completing achievements or they can be earnedfromclearing obstacles, such as trees, mushrooms or gem boxes,whichspawn randomly on a player's base.
