If the seriesissuccessful, collected chapters may be republished intankōbonvolumes, frequently but not exclusively, paperback books. Amangaartist (mangaka in Japanese) typically works with a fewassistantsin a small studio and is associated with a creativeeditor from acommercial publishing company. If a manga series ispopular enough,it may be animated after or even during its run.Sometimes mangaare drawn centering on previously existinglive-action or animatedfilms.
