الراي "من الرأي، ابداؤه" هو حركة موسيقيةغنائيةنشأت بالغرب الجزائري مدينة سيدي بلعباس أولاََ وتطورت فيمدينة وهران.وتعود أصولها إلى شيوخ الاغنية البدوية و التي يعتبر منروادها الشيخحمادة و عبد القادر الخالدي ،الذي تعود جذورها القديمةإلى ما يسمىبالشيوخ بالجزائر لغة الاغاني البدوية من اللهجة العاميةالقريبةللعربية البدوية وتأخذ جل مواضيعها من المديح الدينيوالمشاكلالاجتماعية ،ركزت اهتمامها إبان فترة الاستعمار الفرنسي علىسرد مآسيالسكان من صعوبة للمعيشة وآفات اجتماعية تحاول من خلالهاتنبيه أوتوعية للمستمع.
