Pecans are not really nuts, they are drupes! What are drupesIt’sa fruit with a single stone or pit, surrounded by a husk. TheEllispecans are excellent. They are small, but do not let thatdeter you.The have a rich, sweet taste and tender consistency.They toastbeautifully. They were also very nicely shelled, withvery fewbroken nuts and none of that bitter stuff that onesometimes findsin the grooves in the nuts.
