Math Olympiads went public in 1979. Lastyear150,000 students from 6,000 teams worldwide participated intheOlympiads. 49 of the 50 American states and about 30othercountries were represented. This contest is aninternationallyrecognized programme and all affiliates run the samecontestsaround the world in USA, Canada, Columbia, Iceland,Australia, NewZealand, Philippines, Singapore and India. MASMOaward trophies,collar pins, medallions and certificates to the top30% (bothindividual and team). Your encouragement and recognitionof theimportance of the Olympiad goals will help your studentsenjoy theOlympiad program as well as make progress in becoming aproblemsolver.
