Katzenjammer are a fabulous all-girl four-piece band fromNorway. They play over twenty instruments and rip up the rule bookgood and proper with their boundary defying sound.

It’s impossible to categorise Katzenjammer but let’s try:swinging, singing, cowboy-inspired circus fairground burlesque withall-out riotous, folk, pop & gypsy punk – not forgetting theoccasional sweet and tender ballad to melt your soul.

Popular throughout Europe their live shows are when they are attheir best. Its like a Bavarian Beerhouse hoedown, opera and folkshow all rolled into one. As testament to the band’s egalitarianapproach all four members swap instruments and share vocal duties –singing in English and often a cappella – with their giantcontrabass Balalaika in tow.
