Turn on theAIRPLANE MODE before importing to make sure noSMS arrive duringthe import process. How to use: 1. Export SMSmessages to withNokia PC Suite/Contacts+Message Backup/Transfer MyData. 2. Copymessage files to your Android phone. Putting all filesin a singlefolder makes importing easier. 3. Disconnect USB cableifconnected. 4. Start VMG Converter. 5. Message listingappearsshortly. If not, enter the correct location of VMG Files.Use Autosearch to find the correct path if not sure. 6. Select themessagesyou want to import and press "Import". 7. Read instructionsandnotes that will pop up. 8. Messages now appear in theAndroidstandard messaging section. TROUBLESHOOTING (also read"Knownissues" below) 1. Crashes while reading in message files Outofmemory errors occur with large amount of files/messages.Reportthese crashes to us, but as a quick remedy you should try todivideyour files into smaller subsets. 2. Wrong time zone If thetime isoff by hours in the message list, the VMG files may havetheir timein some other time zone than UTC. Change the time zone insettingsto match the time zone in your VMG files and reload themessagelist. 3. Message thread time and date is the import time anddateUsers of Android versions before 6.0/M may encounter this. Ifthetime is set to import date and time in your message inboxafterimport, turn on "Refresh threads" setting to updateconversationthread date, remove previous imported messages and thendo theimport again. 4. All messages have the same (wrong) date andtimeYou may be affected by a PC Suite bug that causes messageoriginaldate to be the export date. VMG Converter can in somecasescircumvent this by reading message date from the file name.Turn onthe option from settings and refresh the message list. 5.Messagesnot appearing after import when using Hangouts VMGConverter DOESNOT WORK with Hangouts. Switch to default Messagingapp. KNOWNISSUES - Possible loss of incoming messages whileimporting: turnon the airplane mode while importing. - Androidbelow 6.0 does notshow MMS vCard content in Messenger. VMGConverter can importthose, but they only show up in Android 6.0+. -MMS group messagescurrently show only the first recipient. We'reworking on this. -Not all MMS content (vCard, video) can bepreviewed in VMGConverter. Try importing to see content inside thestandardmessenger app.
