About Maths Magic Games series:
outcomes-based educational maths games (O.B.E.)

Each game is played by 2 people. There are 5 games perphase(foundation, intermediate & senior) but, as conceptuallevelsare often very different in a class, games from differentphasescan be used in one classroom.

The games teach fundamental concepts like adding one on toanumber, to practising tables and multiple calculations; therearealso 2 games specifically designed to enhance spatialskills(geometric concepts). The pupils learn by having fun - inplayingthe game, the outcomes are achieved. The conceptual levelsand theoutcomes achieved are neatly displayed on the "i" infopop-up ofthe game for the teacher's records so as to give theteacher moretime to attend to weaker pupils' needs.

As most the games are dice-driven (chance), a weaker pupilcaneasily play with another (even adult) without continuallylosing,as in games where mathematical aptitude defines the winner.Also,the games take about 5-10 mins to play so are an easy 'filler'forthose who have finished work early.
