Fui membro da Congregação da Faculdade de Medicina, doConselhode Administração e Desenvolvimento da Unesp e de seuConselhoUniversitário.

Participei da criação e da direção do Projeto UNI e, depois,daFundação UNI, que traz muitos benefícios à Faculdade de Medicinaeà saúde do município, desde 1992.

Fui Secretário Municipal de Saúde de Botucatu, na gestãodoPrefeito Joel Spadaro, implantado o Fundo e o Conselho MunicipaldeSaúde e construindo os Centros de Saúde da Vila Jardim e daVilaFerroviária.

Na vida política...

Ingressei no PCdoB em 1979, à época em que o partido aindaeraclandestino por força do regime autoritário e, por esse motivo,fuifiliado ao MDB e, depois, ao PMDB.

Sempre participei dos movimentos sociais e sindicais em defesadademocracia, das causas populares, da saúde e da educação.Fuidiretor do ANDES (Sindicato Nacional dos Docentes dasInstituiçõesde Ensino Superior) e do COSEMS-SP (Conselho deSecretáriosMunicipais de Saúde do Estado de São Paulo).

Fui eleito vereador (2001 a 2007) e vice-prefeito deBotucatu(2008 a 2016)

I participated in the creation and direction of UNI Projectandthen the UNI Foundation, which brings many benefits tomedicalschool and municipal health since 1992.

I was Municipal Secretary of Health of Botucatu, inthemanagement of Mayor Joel Spadaro, established the Fund andtheMunicipal Council of Health and building health centersVillageGarden and Railway Village.

In political life ...

I joined the PCdoB in 1979, the time when the party wasstillillegal under the authoritarian regime and, therefore,wasaffiliated with the MDB, then the PMDB.

Always participated in social movements and trade unionsindefense of democracy, of popular causes, health and education.Iwas director of ANDES (National Union of Teachers ofHigherEducation Institutions) and COSEMS-SP (Council ofMunicipalSecretaries of State for Health of São Paulo).

I was elected councilor (2001-2007) and deputy mayor ofBotucatu(2008-2016)
